Relax, It's Not Aliens: Man-Made Objects Mistaken for UFOs

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) may be anything in the sky that we can't immediately figure out. But here's the thing: not everything we can't immediately identify is an alien spacecraft. Believe it or not, most UFO sightings are actually just everyday man-made objects. But sometimes these things can look truly extraterrestrial – like those strange colored lights or moving dots in a straight line.

It's no wonder that we experience an increase in UFO sightings these days. With more and more objects being sent into space, like the Starlink satellites that seem to be launched almost weekly, the sky is getting pretty crowded. And let's not forget all the weird stuff we see in our own atmosphere.

Sure, it might be a little disappointing to learn that the flying saucers we spot are just man-made, but isn't it kind of cool to see how much we're exploring the sky in all kinds of ways?

In this infographic, we've put together a list of some common man-made objects that are often mistaken for UFOs. Got some other examples? Share them in the comments on our Instagram. And don't forget to share this infographic with your friends to make sure they double-check before reporting their own UFO sightings to NASA!
